As I said on Monday, one of the best features of LinkedIn is the ability to find out if you have any connections to a company, such as a friend of a friend who works there. Make the effort to connect with these people. (You can do these via the “get introduced” feature.) They can be potential referrals for you.
Even though companies are relying more on digital technology, a human connection is still means a lot. Use social media to make those two parts connect.
